AN ARCHAISTIC YELLOW JADE CROUCHING BEAR

17th century
Looking to the right with its right hind leg and tail tucked under, the head detailed with a strong open mouth and small eyes, the ears pricked from the thick fur around the neck, the stone of even color with areas of dark brown and natural vein lines.
2 1/4in (5.4cm) across; 1 1/2in (3.8cm) high (wood stand).
