The Geophysic was launched in 1958, on the occasion of the International Geophysical Year. Jaeger-LeCoultre designed it as a scientific and professional timepiece, intended for explorers and researchers. Its hand-wound movement, Cal.P478, is chronometer-certified, ensuring impeccable precision.
The watch stood out for its anti-magnetic case, resistant to extreme environments.
Its clean dial offered perfect legibility, true to the Manufacture's functional yet elegant style.
Produced in stainless steel as well as in gold, it combined robustness with refinement.
Over the time, the Geophysic has become an icon of prestigious utilitarian watchmaking.
