A LARGE COPTIC TEXTILE PANEL WITH CENTRAL FACE ROUNDEL
Circa 4th-7th Century A.D.
The central medallion with a polychrome face of loop woven wool, surrounded by four medallions of loop woven geometric design, the ground with knotted loops, the textile overall composed of approximately 12 panels
The textile: 223 cm (87 13/16 in.) wide, 146 cm (57 1/2 in.) high

There is a 5th-6th Century cover or shroud of similar dimensions with four geometric panels and knotted loop ground in Harvard Art Museums/Arthur M. Sackler Museum, object no. 1975.41.28.
