AN EGYPTIAN PAINTED MUMMY CLOTH AND AN EGYPTIAN TEXTILE FRAGMENT WITH ANUBIS
Saite Period, circa 664-525 B.C. and Late Period, circa 664-343 B.C.
The central column of text reading: 'A gift which the King gives to Osiris - Horus great god, lord of Abydos that he grant a goodly burial in the necropolis with bread and beer, flesh and fowl and every good thing' flanked by the Four Sons of Horus.
(The mummy cloth is lined, with repairs and some over-painting)

The Anubis textile: 24 cm (9 7/16 in.) long, 21 cm (8 1/4 in.) wide (2)
