This visually stunning photograph, reminiscent of a science fiction movie cover, was captured over the east coast of Australia (Brisbane), looking west toward the terminator, limb, and sunset. Taken from the Gemini XI spacecraft at a near-apogee altitude of 720 nautical miles during its 26th revolution, it showcases the breathtaking beauty of Earth from space. The reflection of Richard Gordon's Hasselblad SuperWide camera and hand is visible in the window, adding a human touch to this extraordinary view.
