CLARK (JOHN) Panorama of the Thames From London to Richmond; [with] Description of the Most Remarkable Places between London and Richmond Intended to Accompany the Panorama of the Thames, together 2 hand-coloured aquatint panoramas and separate descriptive booklet, the panoramas comprising 'View of London from the Adelphi' (continuous strip in 5/6 sections on 3 conjoined sheets, c.228 x 1680mm.), and 'View of the Banks of the Thames from Westminster Bridge to Richmond' (c.53 sections on several conjoined sheets, c.225 x 17600mm.), tipped within protective pink card wallets (with printed labels) into the inside covers of publisher's oblong cloth folder, upper cover with original illustrated label, covers rubbed and with some restoration and later ties, some splitting and fraying to joints and edges, descriptive booklet in publisher's pink wrappers with printed title label, 8vo [Abbey Life 494 (1) & (2)], folder oblong folio (244 x 343mm.), Samuel Leigh, [1824]

JOHN CLARK'S FINE HAND-COLOURED PANORAMAS OF THE THAMES, EXTENDING TO A TOTAL OF APPROXIMATELY 18 METERS IN LENGTH, COMPLETE WITH THE RARE DESCRIPTIVE BOOKLET.
The 'View of the Banks of the Thames from Westminster Bridge to Richmond', issued both coloured and uncoloured, shows both banks of the Thames and extends to an extraordinary length of nearly 18 meters. The descriptive booklet "is rare, and usually missing" (Abbey).
