A Donyatt slipware puzzle jug, dated 1754

Of globular shape applied with a tubular handle, the rim with a single upright spout, the neck pierced with crosses alternating with circles, sgraffito decorated below the rim with the inscription 'fill me full drink of me while you would/ 1754', the initials 'SW' to the shoulder, the body fully decorated with a stylised spray of tulips and pinwheel flowers, with a distinctive honey-coloured and mottled green glaze, 21cm high
