A Royal Crown Derby vase and cover by Désiré Leroy, dated 1906

Of attractive small size and inverted pear shape with gilt acanthus moulded handles, finely painted with a spray of colourful flowers, signed 'Leroy', within a shaped cartouche farmed by tooled and raised gilding embellished with jewelling in turquoise and white, reserved on a bright green ground, the reverse with a gilt sprig, raised on an elaborate high spreading square plinth base with richly gilded and jewelled classical moulding enclosing green-ground panels, the gilt domed cover with a pointed finial, 18.2cm high, printed puce marks and F448/1461 in red (2)
