A Royal Crown Derby vase and cover by Désiré Leroy, dated 1906

Of attractive small size and boat shape with high scrolled handles, delicately painted with a panel of musical trophies and flowers to one side, a floral panel to the reverse, signed 'Leroy', edged with raised and tooled gold with jewelling in turquoise and white, the shoulder and cover with further panels of flowers, all reserved on a deep blue ground, the elaborate classical moulding richly gilded, 13cm wide, printed marks in red, incised shape number 1196 (2)
