Simon Spero notes that this is a particularly early example of a pattern which continued to be used at Bow into the 1760s. Versions of this pattern occur at Worcester, Lowestoft, Liverpool, Vauxhall and Isleworth.

A spout from a similar teapot with clouds and cross-hatching excavated at the factory site is illustrated by Anton Gabszewicz and Jacqui Pearce, 'Bow porcelain revealed: finds from excavations in High Street, Stratford, 2006, Part II', ECC Trans, Vol.32 (2021-22), p.11, fig.11:2 (bottom).
