the single-edged steel blade of slightly curved form with flattened spine and double-edged section towards point, applied steel cuff to forte terminating in a split palmette, with three chiselled circle motifs, traces of gold overlay, steel crossguard, iron pommel, the wood hilt clad in leather tooled with chevron bands, the rivets in the form of a flowerhead and an eagle, the wood scabbard clad in leather
