of rectangular form, woven in yellow, red, blue and cream silks with vertical stripes punctuated by geometric designs, confronting birds and inscriptions, mounted
165.4 x 49.6 cm.

Inscriptions: allah yaj'al sa'dana qa'im wa farahana da'im, 'God makes our happiness steady and our joy perpetual'.

Two 18th Century textile fragments with comparable designs are in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (Object No. 2002.494.814 & 2002.494.816).
