Exhibited
Bexhill-on-Sea, De La Warr Pavilion, A Tale of Mother's Bones: Grace Pailthorpe, Reuben Mednikoff and the Birth of Pyschorealism, 6 September 2018-20 January 2019; this exhibition travelled to the Camden Art Centre.
'This work was made while Mednikoff was cleaning up [Grace] Pailthorpe's paints. His enjoyment of smearing the oil paints over the surface of the board reminded him of his childhood fascination with human waste. The blue shell shape was said to be reminiscent of the womb, and the yellow-orange wavy lines were associated with food.'
