The flag designed with naturalistic rippling, comprising calibré-cut rubies channel set to a background of pavé-set old brilliant, transition and single-cut diamonds, centred by an enamel crown with emerald and ruby cabochons, diamonds approx. 1.40cts total, width 4.2cm

The Yacht Club, as the squadron was first known, was founded in 1815 and the burgee with a St George's cross and crown has graced the masthead of members' yachts since 1820.
