Wallace Chan
Renowned Chinese master sculptor and jewellery artist Wallace Chan is celebrated worldwide by collectors, experts, and the media for his extraordinary craftsmanship. Beginning his career as a gemstone carving apprentice in 1973, Chan has dedicated his life to developing innovative and distinctive designs through ground breaking techniques. He is best known for inventing the revolutionary "Wallace Cut" in 1987. As the first Chinese jewellery artist invited to exhibit at prestigious international fairs such as Masterpiece London, TEFAF Maastricht and New York, and the Biennale des Antiquaires in Paris, Chan has firmly established his global reputation. This sale, Bonhams London will feature three of his intaglio creations (Lots 103, 210, and 269).
