Footnotes

This year Breguet, one of the world's most prestigious watch manufacturer's, celebrate their 250th Anniversary. With centuries of experience and innovation it is no wonder that their timepieces are highly sought after. The current lot is no exception and takes its name from Tsar Alexander I of Russia, one of Abraham Louis Breguet's esteemed clients of the 19th century.

The Reveil du Tsar was launched in 2003 and can be translated as "The Awakening of the Tsar". With such a name it is no surprise that the alarm function is the celebrated complication of this watch. As well as an alarm, the model also features dual time indication and a 45 hour power reserve.
