Footnotes

The KV20i Inversé (reversed) removes Voutilainen's signature guilloché dial and places the movement front and centre, showcasing the frosted grey plates, layers of gears and exceptional finishing. As well as visual there are some key technical updates. The KV20i replaces the full balance bridge of previous Voutilainen models with a single balance cock at 12 o'clock and refines the double-wheel escapement driving the oversized balance wheel. Like all of Voutilainen's escapements, it's a lubrication-free, direct-impulse design inspired by Breguet's natural escapement - a rare feat in modern watchmaking.

In 2024, Kari Voutilainen's achievements were recognised at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) when the model received the Men's Watch Prize.
