Footnotes

The 6105 Oyster Perpetual was one of the precursors to the Datejust model with the name Datejust finally applied to later examples of the reference. The current example is an early version as indicated by the Oyster Perpetual upon the dial.

The thin milled or reeded bezel associated with this reference would evolve into the fluted bezel associated with the modern day Datejust. The model has always been well received and remains a favourite amongst collectors to this day.
