The foreground of the present view is dominated by the white façade of the church of Sant'Eustachio, abbreviated to San Stae. Further down the Grand Canal, it is possible to see the arches of the immense Fabbriche Nuove di Rialto, at the centre of the composition, and just around the bend, out of sight, is the Rialto Bridge.
