THREE WOODBLOCK PRINTED TEXTS
Circa 1573-1620; 19th century
Comprising one volume yitongzhi, comprising parts 59 and 60; one volume of Dongzhoulieguozhi (The Chronicles of the Eastern Zhou Kingdoms), by Feng Menglong (1574-1646), including illustrations of characters accompanied by short descriptions, 14 folded pages in total, annotated in English on the cover year 1841; and one volume of Huazhuanhebian (Rules on Paintings), by Wang Gai, this volume focuses on the methods for painting orchids with the cover annotated in English: 'Canton, China, 1864'.
The largest: 26.3cm (10 3/8in) x 17cm (6 3/4in). (3).
