A late 19th century French Boulle tortoiseshell bracket clock with an associated marquetry inlaid bracket

Poccard, Paris

The waisted case surmounted by a winged herald over side apertures with pierced gilt brass frets, foliate mounts and cherub to the glazed door, the 8 inch dial with enamel plaques for the Roman numerals and outer Arabic five-minute markers, the twin barrelled movement with anchor escapement and striking on a bell mounted to the backplate via an external count wheel. 110cm high.
