Pendule en bronze doré et ciselé, Angleterre milieu du XIXe siècle.

A good mid 19th century English engraved gilt brass strut clock

Retailed by C.F. Hancock, successor of Storr and Mortimer. The case numbered 528.

The rectangular case engraved allover with latticework and running foliage on a hatched ground, with folding loop handle to the top, turnbuckle support to the base and hinged, sprung strut to the rear. The silvered Roman dial with engraved centre depicting a raised hand holding a sword. The movement with jewelled English lever escapement revealed by a sprung cover engraved C.F.HANCOCK a Successor of STORR & MORTIMOR'S by appointment to H.M.Queen Adelaide & H.I.M. Emperor of Russia, 39 Bruton Street, London 15.5cm high. (Cole)
