A late 19th century French gilt brass Cartel clock
The elaborately decorated case cast with pierced foliate c-scrolls, and acanthus leaves, the enamel 12.5cm white enamel dial with blue Roman numerals and black Arabic outer track, with pierced brass hands. The twin-spring barrel movement with anchor escapement and Brocot-type suspension to the pendulum with sunburst-and-mask bob, with an external count wheel striking on a bell. 46cm high.
