An 18th century porcelain and gold cage mounted friendship box

circa 1750

Cylindrical the porcelain body decorated in polychrome enamels with a scene showing a lady being served by her attendant, against a trellis diaper ground and floral frame, the underside with inscription 'un petit Present un enrich(i)ent l'amitie' with gold mounts, with rope twist border, with rope twist thumb piece, length 7cm, weight gross 90gms.
