Modelled by Paul Scheurich, seated cross-legged on a yellow cushion, the bearded figure wearing a turban, a yellow-lined jacked edged in blue, trousers decorated with gilt flowers and blue dots and blue slippers, 6.5cm high, 6.5cm high, crossed swords mark with dot between the tips in blue, incised model number A1147, impressed former number 19(?), painter's number 15 in gilding

The model was sold by Käthe Scheurich to the Meissen manufactory on 4 November 1926 for RM 500, though the model dates to before Scheurich's illness in August 1923. It was initially sold undecorated, but in Autumn 1927 the manufactory decided to proceed with a coloured version without Scheurich's input. It is probable that Scheurich corrected the colouring design (Johannes Rafael, Paul Scheurich 1883-1945 Porzellane für die Meissener Manufaktur, Meissener Manuskripte, Sonderband VIII, 1995, no. 29).
