A Meissen figure of a seamstress, circa 1750-55


Modelled by J.J. Kaendler and P. Reinicke, with a purple sleeve over her right arm and a piece of cloth in the left hand, wearing a white bonnet, yellow tunic and purple-striped skirt, the base moulded with purple-edged scrollwork and applied with leaves and flowers, 22.5cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to rear edge of base (minor chips)
