A Meissen figure of a cooper, circa 1750-55


Modelled by J.J. Kaendler, wearing a black tricorn hat, white jacket with iron-red lining and gilt buttons, brown leather apron, pale-yellow breeches and black shoes, the base modelled with scrollwork heightened in puce, yellow, green and blue and applied with leaves and flowers, 22cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to edge of base (minor restoration)
