A Meissen figure of a coppersmith, circa 1750-55


Modelled by J.J. Kaendler and Peter Reinicke, wearing a yellow headdress, purple jacket, brown leather apron and dark-brown breeches, his right foot resting on an anvil next to a kettle, the base modelled with purple-edged scrollwork, 19cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to rear of base (very minor restoration)
