Edition 008/100

Modelled by Paul Scheurich, each on an hexagonal base, comprising: the conductor, the drummer, the cymbals player, the lute player and the flautist, each marked in gilding on reverse of base P. Scheurich 1883-1945, 18cm - 14.5cm high, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, impressed model numbers 60470-60474, impressed numerals and dat0e code for 1995, painter's numerals in iron-red and edition number 008/100 in gilding (5)

Footnotes

Scheurich modelled the series "Intermezzo" in 1936 and the manufactory purchased them for only RM 750. They were first produced in white in May 1937, but coloured examples after Scheurich's designs were made shortly thereafter (Johannes Rafael, Paul Scheurich 1883-1945 Porzellane für die Meissener Manufaktur, Meissener Manuskripte, Sonderband VIII, 1995, nos. 56-60).
