Provenance:
Farouk Bey Abassy collection, UK, acquired in Beirut and then brought to the UK in the 1960s; and thence by descent.

The female figure is depicted wearing a necklace and tall headdress, and her ears are pierced, probably for the insertion of separately-made earrings.
