A Meissen allegorical figure of Winter, late 19th century

After the model by J.F. Eberlein, after B. Permoser, as an old man standing by a brazier and a putto chopping wood, wearing a purple fur-lined cloak with gilt flowers, on a square base modelled with gilt-edged scrollwork and raised on four scroll feet, 28.7cm high, crossed swords mark in blue, incised 691, impressed 100, painter's numeral 21 in red (some restoration)
