A late 19th century Quarter chiming ebonised table clock

Surmounted by four urn-shaped brass finials on an arched top, the front door flanked by a pair of brass Corinthian columns, with carrying handles to each side over cast brass silk backed sound frets. The 8 inch break-arch brass dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring framed by brass spandrels and twin subsidiaries strike/silent and tune selection offering Cambridge chimes or Eight bells with blued steel hands, the six-pillar triple fusee movement, secured by two heavy brass brackets, striking on a large blued steel gong and chiming on a nest of eight bells and hammers, together with pendulum, winding key, and two door keys 47cms high (18.5 inches)
