The Who Quadrophenia Tour Promotional Poster

1974. Original paper promotional poster for The Who's sixth studio album, Quadrophenia. The Who toured extensively in Europe and the US in 1973 and in the beginning of 1974, promoting their release of Quadrophenia. The name of the US portion of the tour was "Fallout Shelter Tour 1973," using the US fallout shelter logo for the tour poster. In 1974, they only did a handful of shows in Paris and England but returned to the US to play four shows in June at Madison Square Garden in New York. They replaced the Fallout poster (since it said 1973) and remade a totally new poster using a different pose of "Jimmy" on the scooter from Quadrophenia. It was renamed "Summer 1974," not knowing the final number of shows. Because of this, production on the poster was limited, and therefore, extremely hard to find.
27.5 x 39.25 in.
