A John Lennon Lithograph from the "Bag One" Series
Lithograph on paper
Numbered 215/300
Signed "John Lennon" in pencil (lower right), matted and framed.
The Bag One series of lithographs was created by John Lennon in 1979 and inspired by his wedding to and honeymoon with Yoko Ono (and their famous "bed-in"). Issued in a limitation of 300, the suite was exhibited at the London Arts Gallery in New Bond Street in January of 1970, where opening night was interrupted by Scotland Yard and 8 prints were seized as obscenity. Today the Bag One lithographs are among the most collectible of artworks by popular musicians.
