A Pair of Don Draper Business Cards from Mad Men
Lionsgate Television, 2007-2015. The first for Donald Draper as Partner of Sterling Cooper & Partners, 1271 Ave. of the Americas; the second for Donald Draper as Creative Director of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, with same address and telephone number, both 2 x 3 1/2 in., in Lucite frames.
The television series, Mad Men, singlehandedly brought back a surge of interest in Mid-Century Modern style when it began airing on the AMC cable channel in 2007. Jon Hamm shot to stardom as the stylish New York advertising executive Don Draper, who smoked and drank with abandon, as most people did in the 1960s. The series quickly became popular and over the years received 16 Emmy Awards and 5 Golden Globe Awards. The series chronicles the ups and downs of the advertising industry and those involved. The accuracy pertaining to the wardrobe, set designs, and mores of the day was just one of the reasons the series became so revered.
