A Group of posters from Forbidden Planet

MGM, 1956. Comprising one US one-sheet poster retaining original folds as issued, a Belgian half-sheet poster and a US window card. All exhibiting expected age and handling. Promoted to audiences as "the most provocative and unusual adventure film you've ever seen," Forbidden Planet featured Robby the Robot (sold at Bonhams Los Angeles in 2017 for a record-breaking $5.375 million) and was MGM's first foray into science fiction. The film stars Leslie Nielsen, Anne Francis, and Walter Pidgeon and is still considered one of the most innovative science fiction films ever produced.
