Footnotes

The Bill Lynch Show was one of the largest fairground carnivals in Canada during the 1940s and 50s. William Lynch (1903-1972) originally started with just one merry-go-round on McNab's Island in 1920, before moving to Nova Scotia and expanding the business. At its peak, the travelling show required twenty-seven railways cars to transport all of the rides, performers and related fairground paraphernalia around the Canadian Maritimes.
