A Belgian carved and painted juvenile platform ride figure of 'The Teacher'

Attributed to Bernard Kindt, circa 1965
Modelled as a frog holding a pair of steel spectacles to their eyes, with a single saddle, on a wrought iron base with handlebars, 56cm wide, 93cm deep, 83cm high (22in wide, 36.5in deep, 32.5in high)

Footnotes

Kindt had a repertoire of around thirty animals with which showmen could order. However he was known to being open to ideas from clients and it is thought that the model of 'The Teacher' was originally a unique commission. Following its popularity Kindt introduced it into his catalogue of works.
