The Louis Vuitton Repetition Minutes is an incredible timepiece from the minds of Enrico Barbasisi and Michel Navas. Throughout their careers, the famed Italian watchmakers developed a passion for highly complex mechanisms. While working at Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe, they were in charge and developed many of the high complications that were used by the maisons during the early 2000s. After forming their first business, a joint venture known as BNB Concept in 2004, the duo eventually formed La Fabrique du Temps in 2007, focusing on tourbillons and repeaters watches for 13 brands at its peak. Then in 2011, through conversations with LVMH's Hamdi Chatti, then Vice President of Louis Vuitton Jewellery & Watches, the group acquired the workshop and brought this amazing capability in watchmaking possessed by the duo in house. While Louis Vuitton was not known for their horological prowess, the group gave Enrico and Michel a chance to fully realize their visions and creativity in watchmaking. The reference Q1BH30, with its luxurious pink gold case, highly advanced minute repeater complication, skeletonized movement and distinctive sub dial design is a testament to the artistry and technical abilities of Enrico and Michel. While being produced by one of the largest luxury groups in the world, the timepiece still does carry a rebellious and independent spirit to its design and execution.
