Cartier's "Le Cirque Animalier de Cartier," introduced in 2008, is a unique watch collection showcasing various animal motifs. In the summer of 2012, inspired by the stunning beauty of nature, Cartier unveiled a new series of rare timepieces that beautifully celebrate the serene sunny days of the season. Encased in a meticulously crafted 18K white gold case, this timepiece features a stunning cloisonné enamel dial showcasing two charming ladybugs set against a backdrop of pink flower petals. The intricate depiction of the ladybugs evokes the Art Deco ladybug brooches that Cartier first introduced in the early 1930s. The captivating dial is further enhanced by a dazzling bezel adorned with brilliant-cut diamonds. The current lot is a new old stock example and is number 20 of a limited edition of just 30 pieces. It represents an amazing value given the high craftsmanship of Cartier's cloisonné enamel timepieces.
