Footnotes

Founded in Turin in 1920 by Michele Abate (1896-1981), the firm has celebrated over one hundred years in business. Since the early 1930s the firm's flagship showroom has been based in the fashionable coastal city of Sanremo, where the finest gemset, gold jewellery, and fine wristwatches are offered. The garnet and gold bracelet is highly articulated and reminiscent of the Italian Futurist movement which celebrated speed, innovation and industry.
