[Meditationes] De vita et beneficiis salvatoris Jesu christi devotissime meditationes cum gratiarum actione, 112 leaves, 23 lines, Gothic letter, 3-6 line capitals supplied in red, rubricated in red, gathering R mis-ordered, some underlining and a few marginal notes (a few shaved), later vellum with printed text, [cf. ig00176000; Goff G176; GW 10688], 8vo, [Strassburg, Johann Pruss, c.1488-1493]

Footnotes

A tract by Thomas à Kempis issued together with Gerardus de Zutphania's De spiritualibus ascensionibus and Bertholdus' Horologium devotionis, but "sometimes issued separately [as here], or in varied combinations". It is rarely found complete with all three works, the BL copy comprising only one for example.

Provenance: Erfurt monastery, inscribed "Mnrii [Monasterii] Petrensis Erffordia 1669" on title; W. Waller, Bookseller, 188 Fleet Street, label on rear paste-down.
