Modelled by P. Reinicke, wearing a black hat, green cape, puce tunic, yellow breeches with blue ribbons and black shoes with red bows, 13.6cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to rear of base (brim of hat and right hand restored)

Based on an engraving by François Joullain, the figure is recorded in Reinicke's work records of September 1744: "Eine italienische Comoedien Figur, Narcisino. Malabergo, in Thon boussirt" [an Italian Comedy figure, Narcissin Malabergo, repaired in clay]. See Reinhard Jansen (ed.), Commedia dell'Arte. Fest der Komödianten, 2001, p. 53, cat. 32, for another example in the Pauls-Eisenbeiss collection.
