SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND CONVERTIBLE 'FLEUR DE LYS' BROOCH/PENDANT, 19TH CENTURY
Designed as a stylised fleur de lys, set throughout with old cushion-shaped and rose-cut diamonds, accompanied by four removable elements set with cushion-, oval- and triangular-shaped sapphires, and by a removable hanger set with rose-cut diamonds, French assay marks for 18 carat gold, measurements 7.00 x 4.80 cm, combinated gross weight 32.56 grams, accompanied by a fitted case stamped Moritz Hübner, N°26, Kohlmarkt, Wien, one diamond and one sapphire deficient.
Accompanied by a report from Bellerophon GemLab stating that the selected sapphire is of Sri Lankan (Ceylon) origin, with no indications of heating. Report no.A13524 dated 26 September 2024.
Provenance: Gifted by Her Royal Highness, Countess Bardi, princess of Bourbon-Parma to Antonie Freiin von Hertling for her 25-year work anniversary.
