of circular form, one side depicting Guru Nanak seated under a tree and flanked by Bhai Mardana playing a rabab and Bhai Bala holding a fly whisk (chowri), the verso with inscriptions in Gurmukhi, suspension loop to top

Sikh Temple Tokens were produced from the 18th to the 20th century for purchase as a religious keepsake or as a donation to a Gurdwara. A comparable silver token is in The British Museum, London (Museum Number 1922,0424.4348).
