India, probably Kutch, 19th Century

of domed form with inverted floral finial surmounted by a cylindrical plume holder, decorated in repoussé with floral sprays, the rim with a band of floral scrollwork, the 'ganga-jamuna' camail with steel and brass rings forming rows of lozenges, with later adjustable noseguard and plume holders
21.5 cm. diam.
