A fine Giles gilded opaque twist goblet, circa 1765

Decorated in the London workshop of James Giles, the generous ogee bowl decorated with a sprig of fruiting vine and scattered floral sprigs to the reverse, below a gilt rim, the double-series stem with a heavy opaque white multi-ply tape encircling a pair of heavy multi-ply tapes, over a conical foot, 18.6cm high
