A Dutch engraved baluster goblet, mid-18th century

The generous round funnel bowl with a solid base containing a large tear, decorated with a continuous landscape scene depicting three cows in various poses, each divided by a tree before a picket fence flanked by poplar trees, inscribed 'HET GROEYEN EN BLOEYEN VAN OSSEN EN KOEYEN' (The rearing and prosperity of oxen and cows), the stem with an angular shoulder knop above a cushion knop and hollow inverted baluster, over a spreading foot, 22.9cm high
