A fine Dutch engraved light baluster marriage goblet and a cover, circa 1750

The generous round funnel bowl decorated with a gentleman and a lady wearing fine period clothing, standing with their hands held, their other hands clasping a large ring upon which rests two lovebirds flanking a flaming heart, radiant clouds above, on an elaborate diaper bracket, the reverse inscribed 'LEEF LANG VEREENDE TWEE/ IN WELVAART RUST EN VREE/ LIEFDE SY U WELBEHAAGEN/ TOT HET EYNDE/ UWER DAAGEN' (Live long united pair, in quiet, peace and welfare, love be your pleasure always, until the end of your days), on a slender multi-knopped stem with an angular shoulder knop and a wide beaded inverted baluster section, over a conical foot, the associated domed cover engraved with a floral spray, 29.2cm high (2)
