A fine Dutch engraved light baluster wine glass, circa 1750

The slightly flared round funnel bowl decorated with a continuous harbour scene depicting a three-masted ship moored by the quayside, the reverse with figures moving bales before an elaborate warehouse and palm trees, the rim inscribed 'T. WELVAREN VAN DE NEGOTIE' (The Prosperity of Trade), on a slender multi-knopped stem with an upper angular knop above a beaded knop and teared inverted baluster, over a conical foot, 20.3cm high
